I have been wondering of Nikki Haley’s recent announcement as a candidate for the Presidency. A slew of mistakes and just hair-brain statements have been coming out of her mouth. Questioning whether politicians over the age of 75 should have competency tests (Read here) Well, I take offense since I nearly resemble one! Recently she challenged Bernie Sanders at this and in an interview with Chris Wallace a former Fox News anchor and presidential moderator now with CNN. When asked by Chris what Bernie’s impression was of Haley’s comments Bernie responded nachalauntlently refers to beliefs some 40-50 years ago of women as potentially president and having an attack during their “period!” It would be a disaster and they are emotionally incapable.! Yes, those were the beiefs back then based on a man’s wolrd and partially of what we nknew medically. Those same beleifs have certainly changed now haven’t they. Nikki also tried trumping (no pun intende) on Bernie’s some weeks ago Twitter comment he made about childbirth medical costs expenses in the US as high as $12,000 and comparing it to Finland’s $60 – significant difference. Well, she came back with some nonsense remark about skimping on a womans health care of sorts and yadahh yadahh! She didn’t read Bernie’s comment or she was alluding to the fact that men are dictating women’s health – what a dichotomy of terms when her own party is telling women the when and the where and the how much!
