China Sets Up Listening Posts in Cuba

China is expanding its spy listening network in Cuba. Established under the Trump administration the Chinese have been feverishly expanding their US listening capabilities. Two of the companies known to be doing this are Huawei and ZTE. While China and the companies deny this US officials have been able to identify their eavesdropping activities. The US has worked with the German government making them aware of potential weaknesses in the German 5G network infrastructure as well. while the two aforementioned companies deny any such endeavors a third company Great Dragon refused to comment on the situation.

I had previously held some doubt about Chinese activity here in the US. As they were truly focused on our intellectual property to advance their economy. If they can get the intellectual know-how without having to invest in time and research dollars, it makes it that much easier. The Chinese unlike the Russians have focused on the economic weaknesses of the US while strengthening their own – a great job they have done! However, confusion arises since they are truly invested in our economy and failure of ours would send devasting reverberations throughout their own. Over the last few years, their intentions have gotten much darker, especially over the Taiwan and Singapore territorial disputes. The disbursement of their large naval forces in the China Sea and the Pacific as a whole poses a definite threat to the US and other Asian countries in the area. Companies like Huawei and ZTE are a risk to our national security. And so is Tik Tok! The Chinese government runs every entity and person in China monitoring most aspects of their daily lives. Privacy does not exist at the personal level and neither does it in their business structure. So, Tik Tok is a soft underbelly in our nation’s ability to keep the average citizen’s privacy secured. This also questions the number of American businesses that are willing to set up shop in China and train their people on hi-tech production for sale in the US. These same businesses are the ones squawking about high US taxes while risking and giving away intellectual property to China knowingly or unknowingly! Ivanka Trump as her father’s advisor managed to get some 11 patents in China agreed to by Xi Jinping while her father was President. I know that the Chinese hacked into our classified personnel files twice in 2014 looking for people with background clearances. Their approach would be to blackmail, divulge personal data or sell it on the black market. There is definite caution to be considered here and our lust for greed (American Businesses) in China does present a threat to our economy and security.
