Bronny James Eldest Son Of Lebron James Suffers Cardiac Arrest

The eldest son of LeBron James and hopefully his future teammate – Bronny James, suffered cardiac arrest Monday morning while practicing at the Galen Center where USC works out. Bronny, 18 is considered a huge prospect for USC basketball and has a future playing with the pros. USC staff attended him and medically transported him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was out of the ICU and resting a few hours later. The James family has asked for prayers and privacy for their present situation and will keep the public updated.

Just a year ago another young player, Iwuchukwu, had a similar event. It took him six months to return to the court with an implanted medical device that monitors his heart rate. It is too early to know the cause of Bronny’s mishap was due to. The general diagnosis now seems to favor Bronny having already been removed from the ICU.

What is the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack? Someone that experiences cardiac arrest means the heart stops beating. It is associated with stopping blood flow and oxygen to the brain and other organs. A heart attack is the result of arterial blockage. Blood flow is not supplied to the heart causing a lack of oxygen supply and death of heart tissue cells. A heart attack may be accompanied by cardiac arrest which can have much more serious consequences.
